Colin Thompson

Group CEO

  • Colin is the Founder and Group CEO of Sodalis Capital.

    Colin was the original founder and CEO of Nexus Underwriting / Kentro Capital which he formed in 2008 and ultimately sold to Brown and Brown in 2023. After taking a short career pause – Colin saw an opportunity in the market to create a new insurance intermediary with purpose and spearheaded the investment to create Sodalis Capital.

    Outside of work Colin is a keen marathon runner and avid collector of classic motorcycles. He is the proud father to his two young daughters who do a great job of keeping him busy and on his toes.

    Colin holds a BA (hons) in Law and History from Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge

Martin Tyler 

Group CFO

  • Martin joined Sodalis Capital as CFO in December 2025.

    Martin has over 20 years insurance experience and has significant experience as CFO in M&A driven high-growth insurance companies. Martin has been directly responsible for a multitude of debt and equity raises and has also operated as CFO for a UK Plc. Martin joins Sodalis having spent periods of time at Bluefin, Agria, Howdens and Kingswood Group Plc.

    At Sodalis Capital – Martin is working on creating the infrastructure and framework to support our rapid expansion plans and develop a robust framework for M&A.

    Outside of work Martin is a proud father to his two teenage daughters who occupy the majority of time previously available for other activities. A proud Yorkshire man, so much so that he now lives in the Midlands near the UK’s only Formula 1 track, when he sometimes gets the opportunity to indulge in his real passion of motorsport.

    Martin holds a BA (Hons)  in Business Economics from the University of Liverpool and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. 

Cheryl Seal

Group CXO

  • Cheryl joined Sodalis Capital as Chief Experience Officer in January 2026 after having worked at the new start up MGA – Amiga Specialty Holdings. Before then she was Chief Experience Officer for Nexus Underwriting / Kentro Capital for 12 years.

    At Sodalis Capital, Cheryl is responsible for building and strengthening the group’s values and culture, developing a strong people experience value proposition, and overseeing marketing to ensure the firm’s values are authentically reflected across all branding and communications, supporting the group’s continued growth and expansion.

    Outside of work Cheryl enjoys spending time in the Lake District and the South of France with her family and dog. Whilst at home you can often find her in the kitchen as she hosts mega street parties and bakes amazing cakes.

    Cheryl holds a Bsc (hons) in Psychology with Physiology from the University of Lancashire.

Lisa Shukri

Executive Assistant to Group CEO

  • Lisa has been with Sodalis Capital from its inception as is very much the glue that holds everything together. Lisa is responsible for numerous areas of the business and ensures that all operates smoothly and to plan. 

    Outside of work Lisa’s life is run by her French Bulldog Olive.

Teresa Furmston

Group Company Secretary

  • Teresa joined Sodalis Capital in January 2026 as Group Company Secretary and is responsible for helping to create and maintain our governance and reporting structure as the Group expands and develops.
